NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is the largest municipal developer of affordable housing in the nation. HPD protects the existing housing stock and expands housing options for New Yorkers as it strives to improve the availability, affordability, and quality of housing in NYC.
The Community Preservation Corporation: CPC is a nationally recognized leader in helping developers finance and build affordable multi-family housing. CPC is a private, not-for-profit corporation sponsored by more than 70 commercial banks, savings institutions and insurance companies. Sponsors contribute capital, participate in lending activities, and provide governance to CPC by sitting on the Board, the Mortgage Committee, and other policymaking bodies. The mission of The Community Preservation Corporation is to stabilize, strengthen and sustain low- and mixed-income communities.

PlaNYC: Released in 2007, PlaNYC was an unprecedented effort undertaken by Mayor Bloomberg to prepare the city for one million more residents, strengthen our economy, combat climate change, and enhance the quality of life for all New Yorkers. The Plan brought together over 25 City agencies to work toward the vision of a greener, greater New York. Since then, we have made significant progress towards our long-term goals.
NYC Department of Health: The NYC Department of Health is one of the largest public health agencies in the world, serving 8 million New Yorkers from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. With over 200 years of leadership in the field, the NYC Department of Health is also one of our nation's oldest public health agencies.
NYCHA: The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) provides decent and affordable housing in a safe and secure living environment for low and moderate income residents throughout the five boroughs. To fulfill this mission, NYCHA must preserve its aging housing stock through timely maintenance and modernization of its developments. NYCHA also administers a citywide Section 8 Leased Housing Program in rental apartments. NYCHA is a critical partner in fulfilling the Mayor's long-term vision set forth in PlaNYC2030, the city's sustainability plan. To that end, in September 2007, NYCHA appointed Board Member Margarita López as Environmental Coordinator to spearhead NYCHA's Green Agenda, which is built on a seven pillar framework. Six of these pillars: 1) Energy; 2) Water; 3) Waste; 4) Green Space; 5) Resilience/Emergency Preparedness, 6) Green Media and Education, link to the Green Agenda's seventh and central pillar - Green Jobs and Resident Empowerment.
NYC °CoolRoofs: The NYC °CoolRoofs initiative encourages building owners to cool their rooftops by applying a reflective white coating that reduces energy use, cooling costs and carbon emissions. The program supports New York City's goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent by 2030, as outlined in PlaNYC.
conEdison: Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison), a regulated utility, provides electric service in New York City (except for a small area of Queens), and most of Westchester County. We provide natural gas service in Manhattan, the Bronx, and parts of Queens and Westchester. Con Edison also owns and operates the world’s largest district steam system, providing steam service in most of Manhattan.
Enterprise Community Partners: Enterprise is a leading provider of the development capital and expertise it takes to create decent, affordable homes and rebuild communities. For more than 25 years, Enterprise has introduced neighborhood solutions through public-private partnerships with financial institutions, governments, community organizations and others that share our vision. Enterprise has raised and invested more than $10.6 billion in equity, grants and loans to help build or preserve more than 275,000 affordable rental and for-sale homes to create vital communities. Through Enterprise’s Green Communities initiative, we are calling for a national commitment by the public, private and nonprofit sectors to make all affordable housing green by 2020.
LISC New York City: Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is dedicated to helping community residents transform distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities of choice and opportunity — good places to work, do business and raise children. LISC NYC’s Green Initiative encompasses a comprehensive approach to developing environmentally sustainable environments by improving residents' health and preserving long-term affordability in the communities we serve. LISC NYC's Green Initiative provides funding opportunities and technical assistance for greening projects.
Pratt Center for Community Development: The Pratt Center for Community Development works for a more just, equitable, and sustainable city for all NYC, by empowering communities to plan for and realize their futures. Pratt leverages professional skills - planning, architecture and public policy - to support community-based organizations in their efforts to improve neighborhood quality of life, attack the causes of poverty and inequality, and advance sustainability.

GreenHomeNYC aims to be a hub of resources for small building owners, to promote the understanding of green building issues, and to connect building owners with local green building service and materials providers.
